HEIDI REIBER

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF RIVERBIRD RESEARCH, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COALITION | ASHEVILLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Heidi is head of Riverbird Research at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.  She has been a data and systems analyst for over 20 years.  Heidi ‘s focus is on economic, demographic, labor market, and economic impact analysis for community betterment opportunities. She reports economic development performance metrics for stakeholders, provides metrics for attraction and expansion projects, and calculates ROI for strategic plan investors. Heidi has also managed plan development for economic development and information technology. Her projects have been awarded twice by the International Economic Development Council.  Prior to her current role, she was a systems analyst and division supervisor with the City of Asheville’s Information Technology department and a supervisory senior analyst with Ernst & Young’s Information Systems Assurance and Advisory practice in Boston.

Heidi currently serves as a board member of the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER).  She also serves on the Building Outdoor Communities Advisory Group, She has served on the YWCA Board and is an alumni of the N.C. Rural Center’s Homegrown Leaders program.  She earned an MPA from Western Carolina University, a Bachelor of Science in Management from UNC Asheville, and a certificate in Data Analytics from Cornell University.
